Gandhi Birthday Celebration 2016!

Our 2016 birthday celebration was held on October 2 at Tracy Aviary in Salt Lake City's Liberty Park. The earlier rain and clouds parted to create a shining afternoon of celebration and friendship.

We enjoyed a call to prayer by Imam Shuaib Din; traditional and Bollywood dances from India; a rendition of "Lead Kindly Light," one of Gandhi's favorite hymns; a ceremonial tree planting for peace; and the presentation of the annual Gandhi Peace Award to Elise Lazar.
